TVS Apache RTX 300 Unveiled: Stunning Renders Reveal Price and Features Ahead of 2025 Launch

TVS Apache RTX 300 Unveiled 2025 Launch

The TVS Apache RTX 300, the Indian two-wheeler giant’s first foray into the adventure touring segment, is generating buzz ahead of its anticipated launch in August 2025. Based on recent spy shots and a fleeting appearance at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, rendering artist Pratyush Rout has crafted a detailed visualization of this upcoming adventure tourer, offering a glimpse into its design and features. Here’s everything we know about the TVS Apache RTX 300, a motorcycle set to rival the likes of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure, and Hero Xpulse 210.

Expected Price and Launch Timeline

The TVS Apache RTX 300 is expected to hit the Indian market with a price range of ₹2.4 lakh to ₹2.9 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it as a premium yet accessible option in the mid-capacity adventure segment. The road-biased version is slated for launch in August 2025, with an off-road variant featuring 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels potentially following later in the year.

Design and Styling

The Apache RTX 300 sports a muscular, road-focused adventure tourer design, drawing inspiration from larger ADVs like the Ducati Multistrada V4. Key design elements include:

  • Semi-fairing and Windscreen: A prominent semi-fairing with a tall, possibly adjustable windscreen ensures rider comfort on long highway rides.
  • Split LED Headlights: A dual-headlamp setup with individual high and low beam sections, complemented by sleek LED turn indicators, gives it a modern, aggressive look.
  • Muscular Fuel Tank: Sculpted tank extensions and sporty graphics, including the “Apache” lettering in red and TVS’s galloping horse logo, enhance its bold aesthetic.
  • Split Seats and Luggage Rack: A sleek tail section with split seats and a sturdy rear luggage rack caters to touring needs, with provisions for mounting a top box and side panniers.
  • Beak Fender and Upswept Exhaust: A front beak and high-mounted exhaust add adventure-ready flair while improving water-wading capability.

The renders suggest a refined yet rugged profile, with a trellis frame, golden USD front forks, and a rear mono-shock suspension, paired with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel setup wrapped in dual-purpose tires for light off-road capability.

Engine and Performance

At the heart of the Apache RTX 300 lies TVS’s new RT-XD4 engine, a 299cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC, 4-valve unit unveiled at MotoSoul 2024. Key specs include:

  • Power and Torque: 35 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm, offering a flatter torque curve compared to the existing 312cc engine used in the Apache RR 310, ensuring smoother acceleration for both on-road and off-road riding.
  • Transmission: A 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter for seamless gear changes.
  • Ride-by-Wire: Advanced throttle control for precise power delivery, ideal for varied terrains.

The engine’s linear torque characteristics and slightly lower output compared to the 312cc unit promise better fuel efficiency and a higher power-to-weight ratio, making it beginner-friendly yet potent enough for adventure enthusiasts.

Features and Technology

The Apache RTX 300 is expected to be loaded with premium features, aligning with TVS’s reputation for tech-forward motorcycles:

  • TFT Display: A horizontal color TFT instrument cluster, likely borrowed from the Apache RTR 310, with Bluetooth connectivity via the TVS SmartXonnect app for navigation, call/message alerts, and possibly music controls.
  • Rider Aids: Multiple riding modes, switchable dual-channel ABS, traction control, and potentially cruise control and cornering ABS for enhanced safety and versatility.
  • Lighting: Full LED lighting, including headlights, tail lamps, and turn indicators, with auxiliary lights mounted on crash guards for better visibility.
  • Adjustable Suspension: USD front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock, with the possibility of fully adjustable suspension as an optional extra.

Competitive Edge

The Apache RTX 300 is poised to take on a crowded mid-capacity adventure segment, competing with the KTM 250 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, Suzuki V-Strom SX 250, Yezdi Adventure, and the upcoming Hero Xpulse 421. Its road-biased design, robust feature set, and competitive pricing make it an attractive option for riders seeking a balance of touring comfort and light off-road capability. The involvement of TVS MD Sudarshan Venu in testing underscores the company’s commitment to delivering a refined product.

Why It Stands Out

The TVS Apache RTX 300 combines sporty Apache DNA with adventure-ready hardware, offering a fresh alternative in a segment dominated by established players. Its modern design, advanced engine, and tech-heavy feature list position it as a versatile choice for both long-distance tourers and occasional off-road explorers. While the renders may differ slightly from the final production model, they highlight TVS’s ambition to make a strong entry into the adventure touring market.
