The Mahindra Thar is already a head-turner on the roads, but one owner from Maharashtra took his passion for this rugged SUV to a whole new level. A recent video showcases the incredible transformation of a standard Thar into the “Mafia Thar 4.0,” a bespoke creation that’s as menacing as it is luxurious. The entire project, which cost approximately 8 lakh rupees, was carried out by the team at Car Stylein.
This is no mere sticker job. The Thar has undergone a complete overhaul, both inside and out, reflecting a meticulous attention to detail and a clear vision.
The Aggressive Exterior
The first impression is one of sheer presence. The Thar has been given a complete black-out treatment, creating a stealthy, imposing look. The stance is dramatically altered with massive 22-inch Fuel alloys wrapped in aggressive Radar tires, giving it what the video aptly calls a “monster look”.
The front end is dominated by a heavy-duty Pro Man Mark One metal bumper and a menacing seven-slot grille. The lighting has been upgraded to custom headlights and powerful projector fog lights. Moving to the side, you’ll find electronic side steppers that retract neatly, Pro Man door hinges, and fender rolls that add to the muscular aesthetic. A Defender-inspired roof light bar and a Steller off-roader roof carrier complete the rugged, go-anywhere look.
At the rear, a matching Pro Man metal bumper has been installed to support the hefty spare tire, complemented by slick Z-style taillights.
A Surprisingly Luxurious Interior
Step inside, and the “Mafia” theme takes on a different meaning – one of opulence and comfort. The entire cabin has been re-trimmed in a stunning black and wine color scheme. The seats are wrapped in genuine Nappa leather, offering extra cushioning and thigh support for long journeys. This luxurious theme extends to the dashboard and door panels, which are now soft-touch with wine-colored accents.
The driver is treated to a sporty, D-cut steering wheel with carbon fiber and red accents, while the horn pad is finished in the same rich wine color as the seats. Multi-color ambient lighting, controllable via a mobile app, sets the mood.
Technology hasn’t been overlooked. A G-Wagon-inspired “Diamond” stereo head unit with dual knobs takes center stage on the dashboard, connected to a 360-degree camera system for easy maneuvering. The audio experience has been completely transformed with a high-end setup featuring Morel components, a Morel amplifier, and a powerful Nakamichi subwoofer.
This “Mafia Thar 4.0” is a testament to the incredible customization potential of the Mahindra Thar. It’s a perfect blend of rugged off-road capability on the outside and bespoke luxury on the inside, creating a truly unique vehicle that’s bound to command attention wherever it goes. The owner, who traveled over 1400 km for this build, was reportedly thrilled with the final result – and it’s easy to see why.
