Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor Khan is making headlines again, but this time it’s not for a glamorous red carpet appearance or a blockbuster film. The actress is facing legal heat over the title of her 2021 pregnancy memoir, “Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible.”
A petition filed by advocate Christopher Anthony alleges the title hurts the religious sentiments of Christians by using the word “Bible,” a term reserved for their sacred text. Anthony claims Kapoor Khan is disrespecting a holy book and using it for cheap publicity. The Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued a notice to Kapoor Khan demanding an explanation for the title choice.
Kapoor Khan’s book chronicles her personal pregnancy journey and offers advice for expecting mothers, including expert tips on diet, fitness, and nursery prep. But the title “Bible” has some fans scratching their heads – is it the ultimate guide for moms-to-be, or an insensitive marketing ploy?
This isn’t the first hurdle Kapoor Khan’s book has faced. Anthony previously tried filing a police report (FIR) against the actress, but it was rejected. He then took it to a lower court and the Additional Sessions Court, but both attempts were dismissed due to a lack of evidence proving the title is offensive.
Will the High Court agree with Anthony? Will Kapoor Khan have to change the title of her book? Stay tuned for the latest developments in this pregnancy-themed legal battle!
