Apparently, Akhtar once jokingly said he’d propose to her and “K.I.D.N.A.P” her if she refused! Sonali, on a podcast, seemed unsure if it was true, mentioning fake news existed even back then. The host also brought up cricketer Suresh Raina’s admiration for her.
