Chris Hemsworth is set to reprise his role as Tyler Rake, alongside Golshifteh Farahani as Nik Khan and Adam Bessa as Nik’s brother Yaz. It’s unclear whether Rudhraksh Jaiswal will return as Ovi.
Newcomers to the sequel include Daniel Bernhardt as Constantin, Olga Kurylenko as Mia, and Tinatin Dalakishvili as Ketevan. There are also rumors that Chris Hemsworth’s stunt double, Justin Howell, may have an acting role in the film. At Netflix’s TUDUM event in September 2022, a behind-the-scenes featurette for Extraction 2 was released. While it didn’t include much actual footage from the movie, it did give a glimpse of some of the intense action scenes that will be featured. Chris Hemsworth, who plays Tyler Rake, talked about the determination needed to push through challenging moments, while director Sam Hargrave promised that the sequel will have “at least twice the action” of the first movie.

Netflix has released a full trailer for Extraction 2, following the announcement of a June release date. The trailer begins with Rake trying to rescue a woman from a riot outside a prison. Then we see flashbacks of his recovery after the events of the first Extraction movie. The trailer then returns to the present day with Rake showing off his combat skills as he beats up multiple people with his arm on fire. The action then ramps up further with Rake taking down a helicopter while standing on a moving train. It looks like Rake is still the ultimate tough guy..
