Celebrate Brooklyn!, also known as BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!, is a summertime staple in New York City. It’s one of the longest-running FREE outdoor performing arts festivals around! Launched in 1979, it brings people together to enjoy art in the park. BRIC, an organization that showcases all kinds of cool art forms, runs the festival now. The whole thing started thanks to Nanette Rainone and Burl Hash, who wanted to get people back to enjoying Prospect Park. In 2024, Saidah Blount took the reins as the festival’s director.
